Mayawati’s Nephew Gives Cops 24 Hours to Arrest Congress Leader Udit Raj Over ‘Strangle’ Remark

Akash Anand also accused Udit Raj of switching parties for his own political gains.

BSP Leader Demands Immediate Action

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Akash Anand has called for strict legal action against Congress leader Udit Raj over his controversial remarks about strangling BSP chief Mayawati.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Anand demanded that Uttar Pradesh Police arrest Udit Raj within 24 hours, warning that if action is not taken, Bahujan youth will not remain silent.

“He is threatening to ‘strangle’ respected sister Miss Mayawati ji. I want to clearly tell @uppolice that these criminals should be arrested within 24 hours and strict action should be taken under the law. Otherwise, the Bahujan youth of the country is not going to sit quiet. I know very well how to teach them a lesson,” Anand wrote in his post.

Udit Raj’s Controversial Remarks on Mayawati

On Monday, former Lok Sabha MP Udit Raj launched a scathing attack on Mayawati, accusing her of destroying the social movement started by Kanshiram.

“She has strangled the social movement, and now the time has come to strangle her,” Udit Raj said, triggering widespread outrage among BSP leaders and supporters.

Akash Anand Slams Udit Raj’s Political Opportunism

In another strong statement, Anand dismissed Udit Raj as a political opportunist, alleging that his concern for the Bahujan movement was merely a tactic to secure personal political gains.

“Today in Lucknow, some old associates of Kanshiram Saheb and a man who has switched between BJP and Congress, Udit Raj, have given lectures on Saheb’s mission. He only cares about the Bahujan Movement to become an MP or MLA by flattering political parties. This has nothing to do with the upliftment of Bahujan society,” Anand said.

“Unacceptable Threat to the Bahujan Movement”

Anand further emphasized that millions of Bahujan supporters would not tolerate such remarks against their leader.

“I am a young soldier of the Bahujan Mission, but I understand the mission of Baba Saheb Ambedkar and Manyavar Kanshiram better than him. The kind of threat that is present in his language today is absolutely intolerable to crores of Bahujan Mission supporters,” he added.

With growing pressure from the BSP leadership, it remains to be seen how law enforcement authorities respond to Anand’s ultimatum.
